Psychiatric Nurse, DNP Candidate
Jeremy is a psychiatric nurse with twenty-three years of clinical experience spanning pediatric, geriatric, and underserved populations, including individuals experiencing houselessness and substance use disorders. He is currently completing his Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
With decades of frontline healthcare experience, Jeremy has observed that allopathic practitioners can at times be overly hasty in prescribing medication, insufficiently attentive to patients' full backgrounds and histories, and unduly influenced by corporate and pharmaceutical interests. He advocates for an integrative approach to patient care — one that thoughtfully combines Eastern and Western medical traditions while remaining grounded in evidence-based practice.
Jeremy acknowledges that some degree of skepticism toward complementary and alternative medicine is reasonable and professionally warranted. However, he believes that much of the prevailing distrust is disproportionate and stands in the way of genuinely beneficial care. He is a strong supporter of the mission of the Community Acupuncture Project and encourages patients and community members alike to approach acupuncture with an open mind.
